Services

Eyebrow enhancement

Well shaped brows is essential. Eyebrows frame and balance the face making your brows a beauty feature. Not only do they look great, but they give lift to your face for a youthful appearance.

Textured hair stroke eyebrows mimic the look of real hairs. This gives the appearance of a soft and natural look. It is a great solution if you have thinly sparse or very light eyebrows. It creates a fuller look without the hassle of using a pencil to create a fuller look.

What’s the difference between Hairstroke technique brow vs Solid brow?
Hairstroke (3D Microblading)

A hairstroke brow is the most natural looking eyebrow. You can see each individual hair stroke, carefully implanted so that once healed, they mimic real hairs. Great for a natural look or for those who don’t have much eyebrow hair.

Powdered

Also created with the hairstroke colour, only more hair strokes are implanted so that once healed, they merge together and create the illusion of pencil or powder on the eyebrows.

3D Microblading with Shading combination

The 5 to 19 Shader Microblade is for artists that want to add more depth or shading between the hair strokes they have already created. It can also be used on its own to create the perfect powdered brow.

Eyeliner

Clients want their eyeliner colour to lighten and soften with age. When we are younger a darker coloured eyeliner is very attractive. However, as we age, acquire wrinkles and gray hair, that once dark eyeliner is not as attractive as it previously once was. The softer colouring is much more becoming to an older person.

Do NOT wear contact lens on the day of service!

Lip liner and blush

Over time lips can lose their natural colour and shape which can unfortunately give an aged appearance. Semi Permanent make-up can restore your lips giving you definition and fullness once again. To achieve this, a lip blush procedure outlines the lips with color and then blends in to avoid a harsh line, leaving you with a soft natural look. We will draw on the lip line before we start the treatment. Please note: We only follow your natural lip line and will not do on overdrawn lip line tattooed on.

Important note for lip tattoo:
Coldsores

If you have ever had a cold sore, even if it was 20 years ago or 2 days ago, you will need to make a Doctors appointment before booking your lip liner and blush treatment. You need to take Zovirax tablets and must take them 5 days before and 5 days after having the lip procedure.

Aftercare

When opting for Semi Permanent Makeup it is important that you always follow the after care advise given to you by your technician, as the more attention you give to the after care the better the results will be.

PRECARE BEFORE EYEBROW

  • With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows.
  • Apply a healing ointment 3-4 times a day. Please wash your hands before applying the product and to prevent contamination of the product use a clean cotton Q-tip for each eyebrow. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
  • Apply a thick layer of vaseline to your eyebrows when washing your hair to prevent it from becoming wet then gently remove the Vaseline with damp cotton pads and apply a thin layer of ointment that your brow artist recommended for you.
  • If your brows gets wet, gently pat the area dry using clean tissue.
  • Keep your hair away from treatment area to prevent the possibilities of infection.
  • Itching is normal. Please DO NOT pick, peel or rub your treatment area as the colour may turn and could lead to scarring. Allow the colour to flake naturally.

  • Do not tint, wax, peels, electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments closer to the treatment area.

***** Important notes*****
  • Please note your selected colour will be more striking and sharply defined for 10 to 14 days after treatment but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten up to 60 %.
  • The approximate initial healing period is 14 days, however healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised or if you are generally stressed and have a poor diet.
  • Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days
  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week
  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area.

F A Q

What is Semi Permanent Make-up and why do people choose to have it?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eyelining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids.

Does it hurt?

This is a form of tattooing performed with a needle that penetrates your skin. The comfort of our clients is most important and numbing cream is applied before and during treatment.

How long is procedure?

Full procedure will takes 2-3 hours. Depending on which procedure you choose, the treatment time can vary between 1.5 hours to 3 hours

What are the steps before having the treatment?

Before the procedure the eyebrows is drawn on with makeup to show the template before they are tattooed on.

Is it permanent?

It is branded as ‘Semi Permanent Make-up.’ It is classified as a permanent treatment, we don't use ink like a regular tatooist, we use pigment which fades over time, however, this will not completely fade away and you will be left with what we like to call a "watermark" from where the tattoo used to be. It will last 1 to 3 years. I always recommend a year to 2 years maintenance on them so they last longer.

Does this mean I will never have to pencil my eyebrows/eyeliner or wear lipstick ever again?

The aim of Semi Permanent Makeup is to "enhance your natural beauty" not replace your makeup bag. You’ll have full eyebrows, perfectly defined lips and eyeliner without your make-up on. It brings out your best when you apply makeup whether it's a casual weekend day or a night out....and night makeup can be even more exciting with many options to enhance your look.

When do I need to come in for a touch up?

Touch ups can be done between 4 - 6 weeks after the initial appointment. There will be be a charge if you go over this time period.

What color will they be?

I have a range of pigments so the color is selected to what suits your complexion.

Can I have the procedure done while pregnant?

Can I have the procedure done while pregnant?
No, you can't have the treatment done while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Will there be pain after the treatment?

You can get mild swelling and bruising but this really depends on your skin type.

Is the treatment safe?

All equipment is sterile and all consumables disposable.

When will I need the treatment done again?

The pigment fades over 2-3 years. If you wish to maintain colour you can do a maintenance treatment every year so that you do not to have the treatment fully redone.

Which technician should I pick?

Choose a technician carefully by considering training, experience, and make sure your technician is certified. The desired look is obtained during consultation, initial procedure and follow up procedures.

Are there any side effects?

Generally, there is some swelling of the treated area. While eyebrows might show little after effect, eyeliner and lip may show more and the edema may last from two to seventy two hours. During the procedure there may be some bleeding and bruising. There is usually some tenderness for a few days.

Will it leave a permanent scar?

There is no current method, product or technology in existence that can remove a permanent body tattoo without some risk that scarring will occur. As with any process that breaks the skin there can be a risk of scarring. New treatment methods are more conservative so the risk of scarring is reduced and all precautions are taken before and after treatment to minimize risk.

Can I have Have Botox injections before eyebrow tattoo treatment?

Please make sure that if you wish to have Botox in conjunction with Eyebrows, that you allow three weeks after any Botox treatment before having your eyebrows done. You can have brows and Botox the same day, so long as you have your eyebrows done first.

I want a really natural eyebrow and I have blonde hair, can you do that?

Yes. We tattoo eyebrows to suit all kinds of requirements. Natural, dramatic, light, dark and everything in between.

Will I see what they look like before they are tattooed?

Yes and no. With eyeliner, we are unable to draw on the shape of what we will tattoo before we start. An in depth discussion will be had with your technician before the treatment commences to ensure that there is a full understanding between client and technician.
